Apps

I try to keep it simple.

The more apps I add, the more I spend time managing apps instead of doing anything. So this is a short list of what I actually use on a regular basis — and what I’d actually recommend.

Health & Tracking

  • Samsung Health — steps, activity, basic trends. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Notes & Writing

  • Obsidian — where I do most of my writing and keep my notes. Markdown-based, offline-first, and it doesn’t try to do too much.
  • Notion — working on building this out as a central second brain. Still a work in progress.
  • Google Keep — quick notes and reminders. Simple, fast, and syncs everywhere.

Planning & Calendar

  • Google Calendar — time blocks, appointments, and keeping the week from getting out of hand.

My Rule for Apps

If it makes my life feel more complicated, it goes. If it helps me do the basics better, it stays.
